This whitepaper sheds light on the potential and limitations of AI-powered content in terms of SEO. Learn how AI content ranks on Google, the challenges it presents, and the steps needed to make it rankable. We also address specific technical, strategic and creative considerations that are critical to creating high-quality content.

With this white paper, the eo AI task force is taking the next step after the first part of the AI content study and showing whether AI-generated texts can rank. In addition, best practices were identified from the study to create ranking-capable texts in just five steps.

The primary goal of the eo AI Content Study Part II is to evaluate the ranking ability of AI texts. Google evaluates content according to various criteria to ensure that users receive the most relevant and highest quality results. A central benchmark is the so-called E-E-A-T model (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness). These criteria are used to assess the quality of content and the trustworthiness of sources. According to this model, website content must convey expertise, experience, authority and trustworthiness. If this is not the case, the websites will rank lower or even be penalized. This can affect the entire domain and not just individual pages with poor content.
