eology at OMR 2026: AI Visibility is transforming the industry

The OMR Festival 2026 is now history. Two intense days in Hamburg, around 70,000 visitors, over 800 speakers, and more than 1,000 exhibitors—and right in the thick of it: eology. Artificial intelligence was the central theme of the 2026 festival and shaped discussions on marketing, search behavior, and business processes. Just the right fit for us as an online marketing agency with a clear focus on AI visibility.

With its own booth and four experts on site, eology was there this year. The response? Fantastic! “Many people were drawn to our booth by our design and the topics surrounding AI Visibility. It was clear that this is currently an important issue for many companies, but there’s also still a lot of uncertainty,” said an eology expert. Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)—that is, the visibility of companies in AI language models like ChatGPT or Perplexity—was a particular focus.

About 85 to 90 percent of all conversations centered on AI or at least began with the topic as a starting point.

This comes as no surprise: The OMR 2026 made it clear just how much artificial intelligence is transforming marketing, platforms, and visibility—and that this goes far beyond traditional online marketing topics. For businesses, the key question is: Is my brand visible where AI provides answers?

Everything was pretty much the same as always—or was it?

Two days packed with insights, networking, and the usual OMR buzz. The growing convergence of business, media, and entertainment was palpable once again this year. And yet, something had changed: the urgency with which companies were discussing AI and the future of their digital visibility was even more palpable this year than before.

There was one small downside, though: “I didn’t notice anything different from usual—except that it was hard to get coffee,” admitted a team member with a wink. Anyone who has ever desperately searched through crowded halls at OMR for an open coffee stand knows: this is not an isolated case. For an event that celebrates the digital future, the analog supply of coffee remains one of the toughest challenges. Perhaps that’s the true AI opportunity for OMR 2027: a smart system that shows every visitor the nearest available coffee stand at just the right time. ☕🤖

See you next year! The event will even be expanded to three days—we can’t wait! 🤩
